Sacraments
BAPTISM:
Baptisms are held during the Masses if desired. In Pierz baptisms are at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday or
sometimes after the 4:30 p.m. Mass on Saturday. In Buckman, baptisms are after the 10:00 a.m.
Mass on Sunday. In Pierz, contact Fr. Jerry Dalseth, in Buckman, Deacon Guy Beck. Instructions
are required for the first child and membership in the parish is needed to have a child baptized.
CONFIRMATION:
Confirmation: is held annually in the spring of the year. In 2010 Confirmation will be on Sunday,
February 28nd at 2:00 p.m. Confirmation is held for those in the 11th grade. Contact Fr. Pierz
School of Religion, 468-2640 for more information.
RCIA:
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is held each year aiming at reception into the church at the
Easter Vigil. Please contact Deacon Guy Beck, 468-2316.
FIRST COMMUNION AND FIRST RECONCILIATION:
These are held annually for boys and girls in the second grade. Please contact Fr. Pierz School of
Religion. 468-2640.
SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE:
Membership in one of the parishes is required as well as a six month period of preparation including
taking the marriage course and the FOCCUS INVENTORY. Contact Fr. Jerry Dalseth, 468-6033
for arrangements
.SACRAMENT OF THE SICK:
The Sacrament is given quarterly in the parishes or when requested. Contact Fr. Jerry Dalseth
